Kaele, often called the lady of Atlantis, flipped her blonde hair out of her eyes with a sigh. She had been studying, and looking over reports for over five hours straight. She needed a break. Pushing her chair away from her desk, Kaele stood and grabbed her jacket off of the small couch. Grimm lifted his large head from the floor, a hopeful and relieved expression gracing his features. How gryphons managed to look relieved was a mystery to Kaele.

"It is about time you took a break. That was exhausting," moaned Grimm, stretching out his long legs.

"Exhausting for who? You did nothing. I was the one reading over all of those horridly long essays," replied Kaele with a sour expression on her face.

Amused, Grimm replied, "It was exhausting watching you exhaust yourself."

Rolling her eyes, Kaele opened the large doors and stepped out of her office, Grimm close at her heels. As much as they joked and kidded each other, Kaele was glad for his presence. He walked beside her as they strolled down the hallway, and she kept one hand on his shoulder.

The pair headed down the stairs, searching. When Kaele went searching it usually was for one thing, or one person actually: Ty. She could never seem to find the scientist when she needed to, so rather than wandering around the castle looking, Kaele decided to simply head to the gardens, and hope that she would run into him.

Kaele and Grimm took a step out the large proscenium arch into the gardens with happiness etched in their features. Grimm flopped down happily into the grass, the feline part of him basking in the warm sunlight. Kaele flopped down next to him, and leaned against his warm feathery fur. Greatful for the chance to rest her eyes, she allowed herself to relax and enjoy the beautiful day. The two were asleep within minutes.

Ty, nose nearly touching the page of the book he was reading, walked slowly through the halls of the Castle. The castle staff made way for him in a long practiced ballet. You didn't bother Ty while he was reading.

The sudden encroachment of daylight upon the text startled Ty enough so that he looked up to see where his legs had chosen to take him. The sculpted paths and plants of the Royal Gardens met his gaze. So did a rather large griffin, and his co-ruler. Both were sleeping in the middle of the grass. Ty hmmphed, mouth turning slightly downward.
This was not a sign of disapproval at his partner's action, rather it was in concern for her health. He recalled the time when she'd caught cold in circumstances almost exactly like this one.

Ty resumed his study of the text, while walking over to sit next to Kaele and Grimm. He did nothing more than this. Ty was a patient man, so he waited for the pair to wake.
